Over The Rock is an intense side scrolling monster truck game. You start off the game by selecting from a group of supercharged monster trucks each with there own unique abilities. You control the trucks using the arrow keys, they act as a sort of weight distribution mechanism for the truck. For example, if your speeding up a hill your going to distribute the weight to the front of the truck to keep the truck from flipping backwards. Likewise, if your driving down the mountain your going to focus the weight to the rear of the monster truck to prevent your truck from flipping down the mountain. The controls take some getting use to because of the nature in which you navigate the courses. You may find yourself having to shift weight at a moments notice to avoid serious damage. I have found that by memorizing the course layout you can avoid most mishaps with timing and patience. The graphics in Over The Rock are very detailed and colorful with a consistently high frame rate for smooth animation. This game is sort of a throw back to the old side scrolling Big Foot style racing games from the 80s. I would certainly recommend this game for its nostalgic feel and qualities, so hop aboard and take a trip down memory lane in Over The Rock!
